Quiet. As if his subconscious mind was talking to him.
Again this voice. The sound seemed familiar to him. Frighteningly familiar yet it could not be that that person spoke to him. Was he dead? A slight shake of his shoulder showed him that he was still alive. Continue reading “S.H.I.E.L.D.” »

Iron Man is one of the most popular and recognizable superheroes of the Marvel Comics Universe. This character was designed in 1963 by a number of authors responsible for different aspects of the characters appearance and personality – writer Stan Lee, scripter Larry Lieber, artists Don Heck and Jack Kirby. In the movies produced by Marvel Studio, he likes to call himself a genius, billionaire, playboy, and philanthropist which can give you a hint about his controversial and eccentric character. This superhero actually differs from all other superheroes. While supernatural powers of most superheroes are something inherent, Tony Stark, this is the real name of Iron Man, is a self-made superhero, who used the combination of his intellect, technology, money, persistence, and luck to enter the world of superheroes as an equal member.
Anthony Edward Stark was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. He was the only son a wealthy industrial magnate Howard Stark, who ran the Stark Industries, and provided his son with the best opportunities. Being a genius, young Stark entered university when he was fifteen years old to study electrical engineering. Soon after receiving Master’s degree, his parents died in a terrible car accident, and Tony inherited his father’s wealth and company. Having an eccentric manner, he didn’t behave like other careless heirs of huge money – he managed to turn Stark Industries into one of the biggest multi-national corporations with interest in advanced technologies. Years passed, and he enhanced his knowledge of machines and electronics tremendously which made his the smartest man in America or even the whole world. At the same time, he spent a lot of his time enjoying his wealth and wasting money on women, alcohol, and other useless things.
It changed one day when Tony was captured by a terrorist group that ordered him to build a powerful weapon of mass destruction. Tony was wounded in his chest before, and they blackmailed him promising to treat the wound if Tony agrees to help. Otherwise, his chest injury would destroy his heart, and he would die in pain. Tony agreed but instead, he constructed an advanced armory suit powered by electricity that allowed him to escape the captivity. This suit was very useful – Tony’s heart couldn’t beat alone at that time, and the suit kept him alive.
After his adventures, Tony came back home and decided to make some changes in his armor plus to make himself an artificial heart small enough to hide under clothes. The only drawback is that he has to wear and charge his heart all the time or else it will stop beating. His armor provided him with supernatural durability and strength. Moreover, the suit is equipped with different weapons and tricky devices useful in battles. His primary weapons are the rays hitting from his palms which due to their destructive power are practically unstoppable. Tony is working tirelessly to enhance his machine and elaborate more sophisticated weapon.
After the redesigned, Tony was forced to demonstrate his new costume to the society during an attempt to save people from the terrorist bomb. That was the very moment when a new superhero, Iron Man, was born. Tony made himself a superhero whose purpose was quite obvious – to save people from various villains who intend to bring chaos into this world. Tony became the member of S.H.I.E.L.D., an anti-terrorism and intelligence organization which monitored the whole world in terms of villains with dangerous intentions as well as extra-terrestrial hazards. Tony was given a chance to become a better person living to save other people and protect the world from evil.
Fact Versus Fiction
He has these little fantasies, sometimes, where he’s sitting on his couch next to The Groom, who’s talking to his best man and being the annoying little ass he is, and suddenly he decides he just can’t take it any more and he gets up, heading for the guest bedroom where The Bride and all her friends and makeup artists and hair specialists and her mother are. Fully Charged
“It’s so funny that I didn’t think of this before…” Tony Stark sat slouched on a chair in his workshop, biting the tip of a ball point pen thoughtfully. Around him papers and scraps of metal suggested that he’d been working diligently on a project, although from the mess, it wasn’t exactly clear what. Pepper had just entered the room, her clipboard under one arm, caring an espresso on a tiny porcelain saucer. She stopped and set down the cup. Continue reading “Fully Charged” »
