Your dream will come true with a multiplayer online game known as Club Penguin or currently Club Penguin Island created by a game company New Horizon Interactive. It involves numerous scenarios and activities to choose form numerous exciting mini-games and tasks. There are two versions – paid and free. This game was exclusively made for children from 6 to 14 but due to its funny characters and unpredictable twists of plot millions of adults all over the world are playing it. However, child safety was a priority of game developers that is way all chats are safe with comments being selected from a drop box and special filters created to prevent swearing and abuse.
Each player has to create their own cartoon penguin, whose appearance they can choose by themselves – pink, blue, or yellow, it doesn’t matter. Your penguin will have to deal with various unexpected and often dangerous situations in a forever-winter world, a penguin island. These penguins remain humans physically and mentally very much – they wear clothes, live in igloos, buy groceries and furniture, and can have nasty characters or really bad sense of humor. They can even have pets, puffles, to play with. And of course, they should earn money in some way to buy all that stuff and food. This can be done in compelling mini-games themes of which vary greatly. If you are following instructions and doing what is needed, you will be given coins for your efforts which can buy everything on the island.
The world of this game involves different types of rooms and environments where events take place. First of all, it’s an igloo – every member has their own where they live and continue their routine. Being a player, you can be hospitable and open the doors of your igloo to other players. Decorations for these winter houses can also be bought by means of virtual coins gained in mini-games. The size and amount of furniture, decorations, and food in igloos can vary between paid members and free ones – so it’s better to buy a membership if you want to have full access to all facilities and amenities. Oh, and the most important events that happen all the time on Club Penguin – parties! A lot of them! When this game became the part of the Walt Disney Company, it grew into a big franchise with additional games, books, special songs, mobile apps, and even an animated movie! New scenarios and characters emerged – a secret agent, a pirate, and a journalist. Elite Penguin Force is one of the versions of this game where a secret agent has to complete missions and save someone. The year of 2016 wasn’t very successful in the history of this game – activities got pretty much boring, and people got used to them and didn’t buy membership anymore. The Walt Disney Company decided to make a decisive move – they announced that the game servers would be stopped in May 2017. The project had to be shut down due to the loss in popularity in order to enhance its mini-games, characters, and activities to present a brand new and advanced game. The last day of this game became the first day of its new enhanced version – Club Penguin Island.
